It feels so good to be nearly done with this repair. It has been many many hours to get to this point and never thought I could get it repaired so well. All the dings and crap should now be a breeze.

At this stage it has fiberglass filler and I am surprised how little I needed on there. Of course one ends up putting a lot more on and then sanding nearly all of it onto the floor.

That was a nasty crease, how did you manage it?

Firstly a huge slide hammer to pull it out around the wheel opening then banging with a hammer to straighten the metal in the wheel opening and then about 20 or more hours of welding studs and pulling but mostly pulling with a weld on dent puller. Shrinking the high spots with a stainless shrinker in a grinder. some mig welding and now short strand fiberglass body filler.

Worth it? What would a body shop have charged?

A body shop would have probably just cut off the old quarter and welded a new one on. I didn't want to do that because I have to drive my car and i thought it would be easier to get out than it was. I am not sure what a shop would charge. I think its worth it the rest of the car is in good shape except for the paint. engine rebuilt trans works great etc.
